2022 AppSec Shift Left Progress Report

This is our second edition of what will be an annual progress report about organizations that are shifting left.

Over the course of the last year, we’ve seen the waning of the pandemic, some organizations returning to the office, and the impact of the Log4Shell vulnerability.

We’ve also seen some tremendous progress on the part of organizations embracing the shift left. This year’s report highlights some of that progress, including:

• Improved fix rates for new application vulnerabilities
• Reduced mean-time-to-remediate (MTTR) of issues
• Increased scan and test frequencies
• Better integration and collaboration between devs and AppSec
